How to Find and Add Your Google Place ID in Rinsed

Unlock the full power of Rinsed CRM—add Google Place IDs to enable NPS surveys, Support Agent, and accurate business hours

In Rinsed CRM, adding your Google Place ID for each of your wash locations ensures that features like Support Agent, NPS review links, and business hours function correctly.

You can add your Google Place ID by going to Settings > Locations and clicking Edit on each location.

How to Find Your Google Place ID

If you’re unsure of your Google Place ID or want to verify it, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Google Place ID Finder.
  2. Search for your business name and/or address.
  3. Copy the Place ID that appears below the map.

Tip: Searching your business name and physical address might return different results. When in doubt, select the Google Place ID that corresponds to the business itself rather than just the address.

How to Verify a Google Place ID

To confirm a Place ID is correct:

  1. Paste the Place ID at the end of this URL:
    https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=<insert Place ID>
  2. Open the full link in a browser.
  3. It should take you directly to your Google review page. If it simply takes you to the address but does not have your business details, return to How to Find Your Google Place ID and try again to find the correct ID for your business.

FAQs

Q: Can the same location have two Google Place IDs?
A: Yes—one may be tied to your physical address, and the other to your business name. For Rinsed, we recommend using the Place ID tied to your business name (i.e., the one that links customers directly to your reviews). This way, we can dynamically pull location hours, and send customers to leave you positive Google reviews after completing NPS surveys.

Q: What if I can’t find a Place ID?
A: If you can’t find your business using the Place ID Finder or Google Maps, your listing may not be live yet. Businesses marked as "coming soon" or not listed publicly will not have a valid Place ID. You'll need a published Google listing in order to retrieve a Place ID.
