Creating Additional Channels

Enable customer communication via Email or Live Chat by adding inboxes

Each channel or source of communication will be its own Inbox. You can choose to have your customer conversations enter the Inbox via SMS, Email, and/or Live Webchat, depending on how you prefer that they reach out. Click <here> for instructions on Inbox configuration.

When you get onboarded with Rinsed CRM, you'll automatically have your SMS inbox pre-configured. As soon as you begin sending outbound messages through Rinsed, any replies to those messages will arrive in your Rinsed Inbox SMS channel.

Creating an Email Channel

Your Rinsed Inbox account will also be pre-configured with an Email inbox. Any emails sent to that inbox's email address will appear in the email channel. You can advertise that email address on your website as a way to contact your team.

To confirm your Rinsed Inbox email source:

  1. Click Settings > Inboxes
  2. Click the gear icon next to the Email inbox
  3. This will open up your Email Inbox settings, and at the top you will see the email address for this inbox. It should be yourcarwash@support.rinsed.co

Create a channel from an external email inbox

If you would like to forward emails from an external inbox into Rinsed Inbox, you can do so with these steps:

  1. Under Settings > Inboxes, click the gear icon next to your Email inbox.
  2. Click Configuration. Here you will see Forward to Email and you will find a forwarding address.
  3. Copy that email address as your forwarding address. Then, follow your email provider's instructions to set up email forwarding.

Note: If you have multiple email inboxes that you would like forwarded to Rinsed Inbox, you can set up multiple inboxes to go to the same Rinsed Inbox channel, or you can create new Rinsed Inbox channels, each with their own forwarding settings.
