Pause Plan Tickets

An overview of leveraging pause plan tickets in Rinsed.


Rinsed is able to automate the pausing process for DRB (Sitewatch), ICS & Sonny’s currently. For Washify and Patheon, a manual ticket would need to be used. 


All POS besides Sonnys, require manual unpausing. 

Overview: 


Having a Pause Plan option within your Member Management form or customer portal can be a useful tool for retailing seasonal members in snowbird states or to allow your members flexibility without them canceling. Within Rinsed, you can allow your members to request to pause their plan for a specific period of time. Please note, there are configurations in Rinsed and your POS that needs to happen in order to use the Pause Plan automation.

POS Configuration:

DRB Setup Configurations:

  • Create a pause plan (Penny Plan) and ask DRB to expose these plans to API (get slot number). 
  • Customers will be charged a Penny each month on a pause. 
  • Make sure DRB added the pause plan to the Terminate No Refund item.

ICS Setup Configuration:

  • Create a pause plan (Penny Plan)  in BackOffice and expose it to the Rinsed External profile 
  • Customers will be charged a Penny each month on a pause. 

Sonny’s Setup Configuration:

  • No additional plan configuration is required.

Adding a Pause Option within Rinsed:

Once the POS configuration from above has been completed, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager. They will need to make a few adjustments on the backend of Rinsed. 

To add a Pause option to your Member Management Form, follow these steps:

 

  1. Navigate to Tickets on the left side of the Rinsed menu. 
  2. Click Ticket Forms
  3. Select what Ticket Form you want to add the pause option to 
  4. Click actions in the upper right corner and select Add Request Type
  5. Name the action and select Pause Membership as the Code. Optional, you may add help text or confirmation text. 
  6. Click Create Request Type
  7. Once back on your ticket form, click Actions -> Edit 
  8. Scroll down and toggle on the Enable resume from pause date. This will display a date picker asking the member to pick a date to restart their membership. 

Once a member pauses their plan, you will see their Pause Ticket under Pause Tickets under Tickets on the left hand side. 

To add a Pause option to your Customer Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings on the left side of the Rinsed menu. 
  2. Click Customer Portal
  3. Scroll down to Portal Capabilities
  4. Check of Pause Membership 

Once a member pauses their plan, you will see their Pause Ticket under Pause Tickets under Tickets on the left hand side. 

Manual Unpausing: 

You will need to unpause memberships directly in the POS. This will require you switching them back to their original plan. 

  • Sonny’s is the only POS that will unpause automatically.
