How to install Splashtop on your DRB server
All customers using DRB SiteWatch will be instructed to install a remote tool called Splashtop during their technical implementation process. Splashtop allows Rinsed to complete the required technical connections with SiteWatch via the ODBC server.
Instructions
***NOTE - THIS MUST BE DONE ON THE SERVER/DEVICE WHERE ODBC WAS INSTALLED.***
- Once you are on the server/device where ODBC was installed, click this installation link.
- Check off ‘I trust the organization above and want to allow remote access to my computer’.
- Download the streamer (on either Windows or Mac OS).
- After the installation is complete, open the newly installed Splashtop Streamer app and click “Confirm” to allow access.
- Next, you’ll need to change the name of the device within Splashtop to [DRB ORG CODE]-SERVER. (ie. ABC123-SERVER).
- Next, open the Splashtop Streamer and navigate to Security. Make sure that the following highlighted checkboxes remain UNCHECKED. (Note - if your Windows computer is typically locked under an Admin Account, please provide the admin login/password to your Rinsed Implementation Manager).
- Let your Rinsed Implementation Manager know that the above steps have been completed!
