DRB: How to Install Splashtop

How to install Splashtop on your DRB server

All customers using DRB SiteWatch will be instructed to install a remote tool called Splashtop during their technical implementation process. Splashtop allows Rinsed to complete the required technical connections with SiteWatch via the ODBC server.

Instructions


***NOTE - THIS MUST BE DONE ON THE SERVER/DEVICE WHERE ODBC WAS INSTALLED.***

  1. Once you are on the server/device where ODBC was installed, click this installation link.
    1. Check off ‘I trust the organization above and want to allow remote access to my computer’.
    2. Download the streamer (on either Windows or Mac OS).

  2. After the installation is complete, open the newly installed Splashtop Streamer app and click “Confirm” to allow access. splashtop_access
  3. Next, you’ll need to change the name of the device within Splashtop to [DRB ORG CODE]-SERVER. (ie. ABC123-SERVER).

  4. Next, open the Splashtop Streamer and navigate to Security. Make sure that the following highlighted checkboxes remain UNCHECKED. (Note - if your Windows computer is typically locked under an Admin Account, please provide the admin login/password to your Rinsed Implementation Manager). splashtop_security_settings

  5. Let your Rinsed Implementation Manager know that the above steps have been completed!
