An overview of the plan type mapping process in Rinsed
Car washes can create plans directly through their POS system. However, for the purposes of streamlining reporting, tracking plan-specific metrics such as LTV, and setting up downsells in an easy-to-use way, it's useful to map these plan names to corresponding plan types, that usually include a handful of similar plans in each plan type. For example, if you have “Basic - Location 1” and “Basic - Location 2” plans, we might bucket those as belonging to the “Basic” plan type.
We generally categorize plan names that include at least 100 members. However, for smaller car wash groups with fewer members, a lower threshold may be acceptable. We try to minimize the number of uncategorized plan names (i.e. with a plan type of ‘Other’), since members with those plans would not be able to be targeted for downsells or other special offers, which could leave revenue on the table. However, we also want to ensure that plan types include enough members that statistics such as LTV by Plan are meaningful. Analytics charts broken down "by plan" will generally be referring to these plan types unless otherwise specified.
Plan types for a car wash group are visible under the Admin → Plan Types section of your Rinsed Web App. If you would like to recategorize your plans at any point, please reach out to your CSM.
